Life can take a toll on your breasts. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight gain or loss, and aging can cause your breasts to change and your skin to stretch. One day, you notice that your breasts aren’t where or what they used to be.

The San Diego climate allows you to spend much of the year in clothing designed to show off your figure. Unfortunately, if you have sagging breasts, it can be disheartening to be forced to give up skin-baring tops. And it goes beyond clothes in public. Many women wear a bra to bed to avoid having their husbands or partners see their breasts. Sexy, huh? Many Southern California women choose breast lift surgery to enhance their figures and boost their self-esteem, but also to just not have to think about it all the time.

Four years ago, Beth went on a journey to rediscover herself and her body. She began with gastic bypass surgery that led to an amazing 130 pound weight loss. I have always been lucky enough to have long eyelashes. Yet when Latisse became available, I thought “why not make a good thing even better?”

If you’re not familiar with Latisse, it is a prescription treatment that helps eyelashes grow longer, thicker, and darker by applying a thin line of the product to the upper eyelid, at base of your eyelashes.

Remember the old song lyric by Crystal Gayle, “Don’t it my my brown eyes blue”?  This made me think about a topic that many of my patients ask about… “Will using Latisse make my blue eyes become brown?” In a word, no, and the reason is simple.

Christy knows what a struggle it is to lose weight. When it comes to plastic surgery, almost every patient has a different story and motivation for deciding when the time is right. For Carla, a mother of five, ranging in ages from 14 to 26 years, she had many reasons. “I think having plastic surgery was always in the back of my mind, but being able to justify spending that money on myself was difficult.” Never one to really lack self-confidence, Carla says two life-changing moments made her change the way she felt about her body. “About 20 years ago I was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
