How long does facelift recovery take?

While every patient varies, you can expect a few weeks of downtime after surgery, and you will likely feel “restaurant-ready” within about 3 weeks. Most patients return to nonstrenuous work in about a week and resume exercise after a month. Swelling and bruising gradually subside. Prepare to show off your final, fresh-faced results within 6 to 12 months.

What’s the best age for a facelift?

There’s no magic age for a facelift. Ideal candidates are typically over 35 with visible signs of aging on the face and neck. Younger patients with early signs of aging may be better candidates for a mini facelift or may wish to explore nonsurgical options such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers.

Will my facelift results be permanent?

You can expect to enjoy your youthful look for 10 years or longer, but a facelift doesn't stop future aging. The longevity of your results typically depends on your skin quality, aging symptoms, lifestyle factors, genetics, and other factors.
