Kara Pennington: Skincare Guru & Explorer
When she’s not helping out patients at LJCSC, Kara can be found outdoors with her French poodle, Pierre. She enjoys hiking, running, and swimming in the ocean. Get to know a little more about Kara in her own words:
What about your patient care philosophy do you think is unique?
Laughter is the best medicine, and I try to provide as many smiles to my patients as possible. Whether it’s catching up on their recent vacations, or their new and improved dating life, there’s never a dull moment in my treatment rooms. I’m a strong believer that there’s a psychological benefit to rejuvenating ourselves. When we look more rested and happier, we begin to feel that way.
Beauty comes from within and I’d like to think I’m a constant reminder to my patients that they are beautiful inside and out.
If you had a month totally to yourself, what would you do?
I love to travel! In the future I hope to explore more countries and their cultures. I think next on the list is a European vacation.
What do you love about San Diego?
I love the weather in San Diego. We’re lucky to have mostly sunny skies for the majority of the year. Growing up in the South, it was a much harsher climate, and I think I have acclimated well here.
