How Does CoolSmooth by CoolSculpting Work?

Using a proprietary cooling technology called cryolipolysis to target and eliminate fat cells, CoolSculpting freezes (“cryo”) fat cells to the point where breakdown (“lipolysis”) occurs, without damage to surrounding tissue. Unlike other applicators, CoolSmooth by CoolSculpting is the first clinically proven flat applicator to treat non-pinchable areas of fat, with a conformable design that can be adjusted to fit each individual patient. Highly effective in selectively targeting fat cells, this nonsurgical treatment can be used on a number of areas on the body.

No pinchable fat? No problem!

Although the CoolSmooth applicator is approved for the outer thighs, it’s a great solution for patients who do not have areas of pinchable fat. You can get rid of stubborn bulges and contour your belly, hips, flanks, and thighs, even if you’re lean.

When you come in for your appointment, you’ll change into a warm, comfortable robe and settle in a soft chair. We will apply the CoolSmooth applicator to your chosen problem area. During the treatment, you may feel intense cold while your fat cells are targeted. After an hour or less of your time, you’re done! There is no downtime, so you can get back to your regular routine and start seeing results in as little as three weeks.
