Kayla Lopez, Clinic Manager and Lead for Dr. Swistun

Kayla joined La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre in 2019, initially as a Patient Care Coordinator in our surgery division, guiding patients through their consultations and supporting them on surgery day. She then moved to our medical spa as the Patient Coordinator Team Lead and later was promoted to Medspa Practice Manager. Fast forward to today: Kayla is the LJCSC Clinic Manager and Lead for Dr. Swistun.

Kayla loves being part of each patient’s journey with Dr. Swistun. His exceptional bedside manner even influenced her decision to return to Medical Assisting, and fun fact—she was his patient before she joined his team!

KAYLA

Kayla graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in 2015 and immediately began gaining experience in OB/GYN and Cosmetic Procedures. Over the past nine years, she’s developed expertise in assisting, coordinating, and managing within Medical Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery. 

A perfect fit for LJCSC, Kayla brings a strong background as a Certified Medical Assistant and nearly five years of experience in cosmetics before joining us. She has experience assisting with nonsurgical services like injectables, lasers, and skin treatments, as well as plastic surgery procedures and pre/post-op care.   

Born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, Kayla moved to San Diego in 2013. She quickly fell in love with the diversity, the peaceful views, and the freedom to enjoy the outdoors most of the year. If Kayla weren’t in healthcare, she’d be selling beautiful homes in this beautiful city. 

“San Diego has become my home, and I’m so lucky to raise my daughter with all the opportunities the beautiful city offers!”

In her free time, Kayla enjoys exploring, shopping, and coloring with her daughter. And when she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her at a Padres game with her husband and daughter.  

Kayla loves her job so much that she couldn’t imagine even a week off! But if she had a month to herself, she’d likely tackle a home refresh or go on a family cruise.
