Gerald R. Haas, MD, Board-Certified Anesthesiologist & Skinny Shot Director
As a board-certified anesthesiologist, Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Haas has long been the calming presence patients meet in the pre-op area, in the OR, and again in recovery. Today, he's also overseeing our Skinny Shot medical weight loss program, where he develops and manages custom treatment plans that support lasting, healthy weight loss.
Dr. Haas attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern on a Navy scholarship. During his military service, he provided care aboard an aircraft carrier—an experience that shaped his patient-first perspective and calm under pressure.
In his dual roles at LJCSC, Dr. Haas is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience for every patient, whether he’s preparing them for surgery or guiding them on their weight loss journey.
He is proud to help his patients achieve major milestones—from dropping excess weight to finally scheduling the body contouring procedures they’ve dreamed of.
When he’s not at work, Dr. Haas can be found hiking, playing tennis, or enjoying San Diego’s sunshine with his rescue pup, Romeo.
